Non-Profit Dentist

As the number of unemployment cases grows due to the Covid-19 pandemic, dental expenses may be more burdensome for individuals and families than ever before. The unemployed need an affordable dentist, but it’s tough to find one – especially during these challenging times.

Even though it is difficult to pay for dental work, the need still remains. Non-profit dentists from a variety of organizations and clinics provide cheap or free dental care to people of the community in need.

Below is an extensive list of resources, both for those looking to find free (or low cost) dental work, and for those looking to donate to the worthy cause of promoting oral health.

Databases

There are a number of databases for those seeking a non-profit dentist. You can search your specific area to find affordable dentists who do pro-bono work or offer sliding scale dental prices. There are also community health centers that offer dental care.

Starting A Dental Non-Profit

Health Resources And Services Administrators

This branch of government provides grants for non-profit dentistry work. Starting a non-profit is noble but extremely difficult. These grants help reward and kickstart worthy organizations so fundraising is less necessary.

Brighter Image Lab

Many of these dental programs offer valuable services. However, funds are often limited which is why donating is so important.

With limited funding, many of these organizations do not offer cosmetic dentistry services, leaving people with stained, missing, or crooked teeth without options.

While Brighter Image Lab is a for-profit company, their business model has altruistic undertones. (non-profit arm is New Life Smile found at newlifesmile.org)

Amazing Smile Transformation with Translucent Diamond by Brighter Image Lab

Their owner, Bil Watson, often posts videos on the company vlog showing the transformation of patients who have dark backstories.

New Life Smile has funded smiles created by Brighter Image Lab for ex-convicts, veterans, and victims of domestic abuse. The products, however, do not lack quality and have been used by pageant contestants and fashion models.

Brighter Image Lab’s products are significantly cheaper than comparable treatments typically done at dental offices. This makes their products available to a wider demographic. They offer 100% approval financing – making their products even more affordable.

Brighter Image Lab may not be a non-profit dentist, but you can click here to view their helpful and affordable products. Or take the quiz below to see if their products are right for you.
